ಅಯನೇಷು ಚ ಸರ್ವೇಷು ಯಥಾಭಾಗಮವಸ್ಥಿತಾಃ ।

ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ
ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನು ಇಡೀ ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾನೆ - ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಭೀಷ್ಮನನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷ ಗಮನದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು. ಇದು ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೧೦ರಲ್ಲಿನ ಆತಂಕದ ಛಾಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪುಷ್ಟೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ - ಭೀಷ್ಮನ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನಿಸಿರಬಹುದು.

Commentary
Duryodhana issues an order to the whole army — each should hold their assigned position while paying special attention to protecting the commander-in-chief, Bhīṣma. This reinforces the undertone of anxiety already present in verse 10; he evidently feels Bhīṣma's safety needs particular emphasis.
