ಅರ್ಥ: ಕಸ್ಯಚನ ವಸ್ತುನಃ ಮೂಲ್ಯಮ್ ಕಸ್ಯಚನ ಅನ್ಯವಸ್ತುನಃ ಭಾಗಾನಾಮ್ ಸಙ್ಖ್ಯಾಯಾಃ ನಿರ್ದೇಶೇನ ಕಾರಯಿತುಮ್ ಪ್ರಥಮಾಸಮರ್ಥಾತ್ ಸಙ್ಖ್ಯಾವಾಚಿಶಬ್ದಾತ್ 'ಅಸ್ಯ ಮೂಲ್ಯಮ್' ಇತ್ಯಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಅರ್ಥೇ ಮಯಟ್-ಪ್ರತ್ಯಯಃ ಭವತಿ ।
Meaning: When the cost of 'one unit' of an entity is to be expressed in terms of the cost of 'multiple units' of another entity, मयट् प्रत्यय can be applied to the number that represents the 'number of units' of the second entity.
