ಅರ್ಥ: ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತಾನುಕರಣವಾಚಿಶಬ್ದಸ್ಯ ಅನ್ತೇ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಃ 'ಅತ್' ಇತಿ ಅಂಶಃ ಆಮ್ರೇಡಿತಸಂಜ್ಞಕಸ್ಯ ಅಸ್ತಿ ಚೇತ್ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಇತಿ-ಶಬ್ದೇ ಪರೇ “ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತಾನುಕರಣಸ್ಯಾತ ಇತೌ” 6.1.98 ಇತಿ ಪೂರ್ವಸೂತ್ರೇಣ ಉಕ್ತಃ ಪರರೂಪ-ಏಕಾದೇಶಃ ನ ಭವತಿ, ಅಪಿತು ತಕಾರ-ಇಕಾರಯೋಃ ವಿಕಲ್ಪೇನ ಪರರೂಪ-ಏಕಾದೇಶಃ ಭವತಿ ।
Meaning: When a word which is used to imitate some abstract sound and which ends is the phrase 'अत्' and which is also an आम्रेडितसंज्ञक is followed by the word 'इति', then the 'अत्' of the previous word and the इ of इति are not combined as mentioned in the previous rule 'अव्यक्तानुकरणस्यात इतौ'. Instead, the त् and इ optionally combine to form a पररूप-एकादेश.
