ಇಚ್ಛಾ ದ್ವೇಷಃ ಸುಖಂ ದುಃಖಂ ಸಂಘಾತಶ್ಚೇತನಾ ಧೃತಿಃ ।
ಎತತ್ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಂ ಸಮಾಸೇನ ಸವಿಕಾರಮುದಾಹೃತಂ ॥ ೧೩-೭॥

ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ

ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೬-೭ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದೇ ವಾಕ್ಯ, ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ - ಇಚ್ಛೆ (ಇಚ್ಛಾ), ದ್ವೇಷ (ದ್ವೇಷಃ), ಸುಖ-ದುಃಖ (ಸುಖಂ ದುಃಖಂ), ದೇಹಸಂಘಾತ (ಸಂಘಾತಃ), ಚೇತನೆ (ಚೇತನಾ), ಮತ್ತು ಧೃತಿ (ಧೃತಿಃ) ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ಅನುಭವಗಳೂ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಭಾಗವೇ. ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು (ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಂ) ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಕಾರಗಳ ಸಹಿತ (ಸವಿಕಾರಂ) ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ (ಸಮಾಸೇನ) ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ (ಉದಾಹೃತಂ) ಎಂದು ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Commentary

Verses 6–7 together complete the list of the field's constituents. Even subjective experiences like desire, aversion, pleasure and pain, the sentient awareness (cetanā), and steadiness (dhṛti) are included as part of the field — the entire psycho-physical apparatus, not just the physical body, constitutes kṣetra.
