ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೩೧ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಅಮೃತಾಂಶೂದ್ಭವೋ ಭಾನುಃ ಶಶಬಿಂದುಃ ಸುರೇಶ್ವರಃ ।
ಔಷಧಂ ಜಗತಃ ಸೇತುಃ ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮಪರಾಕ್ರಮಃ ॥ ೩೧ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ಅಮೃತಾಂಶೂದ್ಭವಃ	One from whom the moon arose, at the churning of the ocean
ಭಾನುಃ	The resplendent one, the sun
ಶಶಬಿಂದುಃ	One marked with the hare — the moon
ಸುರೇಶ್ವರಃ	The Lord of the gods
ಔಷಧಂ	The medicine that cures worldly suffering
ಜಗತಃ	Of the world
ಸೇತುಃ	The bridge — refuge of the world
ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮಪರಾಕ್ರಮಃ	One whose valor rests on truth and righteousness

(अमृतांशूद्भवो भानुः शशबिन्दुः सुरेश्वरः ।
औषधं जगतः सेतुः सत्यधर्मपराक्रमः ॥ ३१ ॥)

amṛtāṃśūdbhavo bhānuḥ śaśabinduḥ sureśvaraḥ |
auṣadhaṃ jagataḥ setuḥ satyadharmaparākramaḥ || 31 ||
