ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೭೧ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯೋ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಕೃದ್ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಿವರ್ಧನಃ ।
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಿದ್ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣೋ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೀ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಜ್ಞೋ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಪ್ರಿಯಃ ॥ ೭೧ ॥

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯಃ	The friend/patron of brahmins and the Vedas
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಕೃತ್	The creator of the Vedas
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾ	Brahmā, the creator god
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ	The Absolute itself
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಿವರ್ಧನಃ	The one who nurtures spiritual knowledge
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಿತ್	The knower of Brahman
ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಃ	The Brahmin
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೀ	One united with Brahman
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಜ್ಞಃ	The knower of Brahman
ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಪ್ರಿಯಃ	One dear to the brahmins

(ब्रह्मण्यो ब्रह्मकृद् ब्रह्मा ब्रह्म ब्रह्मविवर्धनः ।
ब्रह्मविद् ब्राह्मणो ब्रह्मी ब्रह्मज्ञो ब्राह्मणप्रियः ॥ ७१ ॥)
