ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ
ಅರ್ಜುನನ ವಿಷಾದ ಪರಾಕಾಷ್ಠೆಗೆ ತಲುಪುತ್ತದೆ - ಸ್ವಜನಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಶಸ್ತ್ರರಹಿತನಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸದೆ ಸಾಯುವುದೇ ಲೇಸು ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದು ಅವನ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಸಂಘರ್ಷದ ತೀವ್ರತೆಯ ಪರಮಾವಧಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಶ್ಲೋಕ (೪೭) ಈ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದ ಅಂತಿಮ ಶ್ಲೋಕವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Commentary
Arjuna's despair reaches its climax — he declares that dying unarmed and without resistance would be preferable to committing the sin of killing his own kin. This shows the extreme intensity of his inner conflict, and the next verse (47), the last of this chapter, summarizes his resulting decision.
