ಅರ್ಥ: ಜನನೇಂದ್ರಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗುದ (ವಿಸರ್ಜನೇಂದ್ರಿಯ)

ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ: ಉಪಸ್ಥ (upastha, organ of generation) + ಪಾಯು (pāyu, organ of excretion) — ದ್ವಂದ್ವ ಸಮಾಸ, ಪ್ರಥಮಾ ದ್ವಿವಚನ ಪುಲ್ಲಿಂಗ (ಉ-ಕಾರಾಂತ, ಕೊನೆಯ ಪದದ ರೂಪ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ).
