ಅರ್ಥ: ವಿಶ್ವ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಪಂಚ
Meaning: the universe itself — he who becomes and pervades all this
ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ: ವಿಶ್ವ (viśva) — ಪ್ರಥಮಾ ಏಕವಚನ ನಪುಂಸಕಲಿಂಗ. ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮದ ಮೊದಲ ನಾಮ —
ವಿಷ್ಣುವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಃ ವಿಶ್ವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಕರಿಸುವ ಹೆಸರು ("ಆತನೇ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವಾಗಿ ಆಗುವವನು").
