ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೨೦ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಮಹೇಷ್ವಾಸೋ ಮಹೀಭರ್ತಾ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಃ ಸತಾಂ ಗತಿಃ ।
ಅನಿರುದ್ಧಃ ಸುರಾನಂದೋ ಗೋವಿಂದೋ ಗೋವಿದಾಂ ಪತಿಃ ॥ ೨೦ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ಮಹೇಷ್ವಾಸಃ	The great archer
ಮಹೀಭರ್ತಾ	The supporter/sustainer of the earth
ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸಃ	The abode of Śrī (Lakṣmī)
ಸತಾಂ	Of the virtuous/good
ಗತಿಃ	The goal/refuge
ಅನಿರುದ್ಧಃ	The unobstructed one
ಸುರಾನಂದಃ	The joy/bliss of the gods
ಗೋವಿಂದಃ	The finder/protector of the cows (or of the earth)
ಗೋವಿದಾಂ	Of those who know the Vedas/senses
ಪತಿಃ	The lord/master

(महेष्वासो महीभर्ता श्रीनिवासः सतां गतिः ।
अनिरुद्धः सुरानन्दो गोविन्दो गोविदां पतिः ॥ २० ॥)
