ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೨೫ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಆವರ್ತನೋ ನಿವೃತ್ತಾತ್ಮಾ ಸಂವೃತಃ ಸಮ್ಪ್ರಮರ್ದನಃ ।
ಅಹಃ ಸಂವರ್ತಕೋ ವಹ್ನಿರ್ಅನಿಲೋ ಧರಣೀಧರಃ ॥ ೨೫ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ಆವರ್ತನಃ	The one who causes the cycle of rebirth to revolve
ನಿವೃತ್ತಾತ್ಮಾ	One whose self has turned from worldly bondage
ಸಂವೃತಃ	The concealed one, veiled by his own māyā
ಸಮ್ಪ್ರಮರ್ದನಃ	One who thoroughly crushes evil
ಅಹಃ	The day
ಸಂವರ್ತಕಃ	One who brings about universal dissolution
ವಹ್ನಿಃ	Fire, the carrier of oblations
ಅನಿಲಃ	The wind
ಧರಣೀಧರಃ	The bearer/sustainer of the earth

(आवर्तनो निवृत्तात्मा संवृतः सम्प्रमर्दनः ।
अहः संवर्तको वह्निरनिलो धरणीधरः ॥ २५ ॥)

āvartano nivṛttātmā saṃvṛtaḥ sampramardanaḥ |
ahaḥ saṃvartako vahniranilo dharaṇīdharaḥ || 25 ||
