ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೨೮ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ವೃಷಾಹೀ ವೃಷಭೋ ವಿಷ್ಣುರ್ವೃಷಪರ್ವಾ ವೃಷೋದರಃ ।
ವರ್ಧನೋ ವರ್ಧಮಾನಶ್ಚ ವಿವಿಕ್ತಃ ಶ್ರುತಿಸಾಗರಃ ॥ ೨೮ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ವೃಷಾಹೀ	One who possesses the strength of dharma
ವೃಷಭಃ	The bull, the foremost — symbol of dharma
ವಿಷ್ಣುಃ	The all-pervading one
ವೃಷಪರ್ವಾ	One whose stages are righteousness
ವೃಷೋದರಃ	One whose womb holds righteousness
ವರ್ಧನಃ	The one who causes growth
ವರ್ಧಮಾನಃ	The ever-growing one
ಚ	and
ವಿವಿಕ್ತಃ	The discerning one, distinct from all
ಶ್ರುತಿಸಾಗರಃ	The ocean of the scriptures

(वृषाही वृषभो विष्णुर्वृषपर्वा वृषोदरः ।
वर्धनो वर्धमानश्च विविक्तः श्रुतिसागरः ॥ २८ ॥)

vṛṣāhī vṛṣabho viṣṇurvṛṣaparvā vṛṣodaraḥ |
vardhano vardhamānaśca viviktaḥ śrutisāgaraḥ || 28 ||
