ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೩೪ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಇಷ್ಟೋಽವಿಶಿಷ್ಟಃ ಶಿಷ್ಟೇಷ್ಟಃ ಶಿಖಂಡೀ ನಹುಷೋ ವೃಷಃ ।
ಕ್ರೋಧಹಾ ಕ್ರೋಧಕೃತ್ಕರ್ತಾ ವಿಶ್ವಬಾಹುರ್ಮಹೀಧರಃ ॥ ೩೪ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ಇಷ್ಟಃ	The desired one, worshipped through sacrifice
ಅವಿಶಿಷ್ಟಃ	One not different from any being
ಶಿಷ್ಟೇಷ್ಟಃ	The one beloved of the wise
ಶಿಖಂಡೀ	The crested one, peacock-feathered
ನಹುಷಃ	A name recalling the binding of all beings
ವೃಷಃ	The embodiment of righteousness
ಕ್ರೋಧಹಾ	The destroyer of unrighteous anger
ಕ್ರೋಧಕೃತ್	One who generates righteous anger against evil
ಕರ್ತಾ	The doer
ವಿಶ್ವಬಾಹುಃ	One whose arms encompass the universe
ಮಹೀಧರಃ	The bearer of the earth

(इष्टोऽविशिष्टः शिष्टेष्टः शिखण्डी नहुषो वृषः ।
क्रोधहा क्रोधकृत्कर्ता विश्वबाहुर्महीधरः ॥ ३४ ॥)

iṣṭo'viśiṣṭaḥ śiṣṭeṣṭaḥ śikhaṇḍī nahuṣo vṛṣaḥ |
krodhahā krodhakṛtkartā viśvabāhurmahīdharaḥ || 34 ||
