ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೧೩ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ರುದ್ರೋ ಬಹುಶಿರಾ ಬಭ್ರುರ್ವಿಶ್ವಯೋನಿಃ ಶುಚಿಶ್ರವಾಃ ।
ಅಮೃತಃ ಶಾಶ್ವತಸ್ಥಾಣುರ್ವರಾರೋಹೋ ಮಹಾತಪಾಃ ॥ ೧೩ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ರುದ್ರಃ	He who makes beings weep at dissolution, or dispels sorrow
ಬಹುಶಿರಾಃ	The one with many heads
ಬಭ್ರುಃ	The brown/tawny-colored one; also "the sustainer"
ವಿಶ್ವಯೋನಿಃ	The source/womb of the universe
ಶುಚಿಶ್ರವಾಃ	One of pure fame; one who attends only to what is pure
ಅಮೃತಃ	The immortal one
ಶಾಶ್ವತಸ್ಥಾಣುಃ	The eternally fixed pillar
ವರಾರೋಹಃ	One of excellent form; one who bestows the best ascent
ಮಹಾತಪಾಃ	One of great austerity/penance

(रुद्रो बहुशिरा बभ्रुर्विश्वयोनिः शुचिश्रवाः ।
अमृतः शाश्वतस्थाणुर्वरारोहो महातपाः ॥ १३ ॥)

amṛtaḥ śāśvatasthāṇurvarāroho mahātapāḥ || 13 ||
