ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೧೬ - ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ

ಭ್ರಾಜಿಷ್ಣುರ್ಭೋಜನಂ ಭೋಕ್ತಾ ಸಹಿಷ್ಣುರ್ಜಗದಾದಿಜಃ ।
ಅನಘೋ ವಿಜಯೋ ಜೇತಾ ವಿಶ್ವಯೋನಿಃ ಪುನರ್ವಸುಃ ॥ ೧೬ ॥

ಪದ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪದ	Meaning
ಭ್ರಾಜಿಷ್ಣುಃ	The resplendent, radiant one
ಭೋಜನಂ	That which is enjoyed/experienced
ಭೋಕ್ತಾ	The enjoyer/experiencer
ಸಹಿಷ್ಣುಃ	The patient, all-enduring one
ಜಗದಾದಿಜಃ	The one born/arisen at the beginning of the world
ಅನಘಃ	The sinless one
ವಿಜಯಃ	Victory itself
ಜೇತಾ	The victor, conqueror
ವಿಶ್ವಯೋನಿಃ	The source/womb of the universe
ಪುನರ್ವಸುಃ	One who repeatedly dwells (in beings)

(भ्राजिष्णुर्भोजनं भोक्ता सहिष्णुर्जगदादिजः ।
अनघो विजयो जेता विश्वयोनिः पुनर्वसुः ॥ १६ ॥)

bhrājiṣṇurbhojanaṃ bhoktā sahiṣṇurjagadādijaḥ |
anagho vijayo jetā viśvayoniḥ punarvasuḥ || 16 ||
